You've done a super job, Zach. We're glad to have you as part of the team! With the help of all the fans of baseball and UW-L, we can keep the program going until the University is able to fully fund it again!

I'm not a die-hard UWL fan myself, but a fan of the game. I'm spreading the word among my friends in the Arkansas fan base...hope we can help. baseball is a life changer for so many people...

as older brother to former UWL baseball player tim kluge, i have followed this excellent program for years...it would be a terrible loss for both the university and the city

I have watched UWL baseball since I was 12 years old. I have also watched the family and friendships that evolved while my father was the head coach throughout my high school and college years. This does not happen without a conscientious care and concern about the program and the people involved. I never played the game (Larry and I ran track at UWL because neither of could have made the team). If you are an alumni or a friend of the program, I just want you to consider the cost/benifit of the program. If you think back,.... I think you will realize the learning, fun, friendships and memories are well worth the investment. GIVE WHAT YOU CAN!! Grease UWL Football/Track 74-79

Thank you for doing this! Nice work.

As the former baseball coach and current Athletic Director of Ohio Wesleyan University, I have coached against UW Lacrosse teams several times. They games were always tough, hard fought, and well played contests. A loss of Lacrosse baseball would be a huge loss for Division III baseball. Good Luck with your efforts to save this proud program!

Other than sending our donation is there any other fundraisers being planned like baseball alumni and friends of baseball golf outing or a fundraising dinner? Could we get a letter sent to all the athletes at UWL asking for a $20 donation from each of them? Just some more ideas....... Thanks for your efforts.

I am working on selling raffle tickets at my summer league games. Hopefully this will help some.

Hey Zach! We are so proud of you and your efforts to raise funds ro the Lacross Eagles baseball where our other two grandsons Gavin and Garrett Scray are both pitchers. They are fortunate to have a cousin who cares about them and the baseball program at Lacross. The $ thermometer is rising.

In response to Ben, yes I have been in contact with the Timber Rattlers but due to NCAA rules a professional team cannot give money to a college athletic program, they can only give money to the general fund. I am still working on a workaround but so far I have been unsuccessful. Before we/I learned of this the Timber Rattlers were very open and susceptive to doing anything they could to help out.

Happy to help out the UW-L baseball team! :)

Has anyone thought about possibly asking Wisconsin minor league teams to help out. Maybe they could pick one game left in this season and increase the ticket price by $1. All the extra money raised from that $1 could be donated to the program. Or maybe even contact the Brewers. I don't know if that's an option at all, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

As the daughter of a Wall of Fame recipient, Dan Heinritz, and a former UW-L student, I would like to thank all of you for supporting the baseball team. UW-L baseball has meant a lot to my family and the families of many others; it would be ashamed to see the tradition end! I wish you all the best of luck and look forward to seeing the total donations exceed the needed $50,000!

Zach, Fantastic job on the website. UWL baseball has been a very big part of our lives. We met some great people thru UWL baseball and Soccer and know the key roll these programs played in our kid's lives. The UWL program helped shape our son's life and provided all of us with irreplacable personal friendships and colliegate competitive memories. Your contribution of this website to help the program is huge. We will do what we can to help. GO EAGLES baseBALL. Thanks again.

I just forwarded this website to my entire address book and asked if they can't afford a donation, please forward to their address book too. Who knows what can happen with the power of the web!

I am happy to contribute to save the baseball program. It sure doesn't look like the Athletic Dept. had any forsight to see how it affects the young men of La Crosse, Onalaska, West Salem, etc. I wish you success in your endeavors.

UW-LaCrosse is hosting Stars of Tomorrow baseball Tournament 6/26 and 6/27. There are 10 games being played at the baseball field. Is someone doing concessions? I have questions I would have liked to ask our coach, but I have not heard back from him!
